“This is a great, useable, and student friendly textbook. It provides excellent leadership/theory/ content in an understandable manner and ii is broken down in to an easily understandable presentation. This book is student friendly, while being an excellent tool for the instructor. I recommend it without reservation!” (Dan Cunningham)

“The perfect book for an introductory course in leadership.  I think it aligns well with both education and business, and could be utilized to teach leadership to all students if leadership is a part of a core curriculum.” (Lou L. Sabina)

Kindle Edition Review Only - Partial Features
By Juanita
This review is only for the Kindle Edition of this book! While the text is four (maybe even five stars), the Kindle Edition receives a one-star rating because it is falsely advertised. The Kindle Edition of Introduction to Leadership: Concepts and Practice, Third Edition is marketed as an e-book. The book itself, including the Kindle Edition makes claims in the beginning of the book of additional resources that are of great importance to the course material being available in the e-book format. The book (neither print nor Kindle Edition) states any difference in a Kindle or e-book edition, thus leading the consumer to believe that the Kindle Edition (which costs a lot as e-books go -- albeit pretty standard for Kindle Textbooks) is packed with this additional and necessary information. When you open the Kindle Edition of the book, it displays beautifully, tells you how to utilize these wonderful additional resources, and even has the spots to click on in which to activate them. This is where the trouble arises, you go to click on the video "play" button as you are instructed to earlier in the book. And nothing happens other than you making a selection and potentially downloading an Oxford Dictionary to your PC version of the Kindle Software. To say that I am disappointed in the low and misleading quality of the Kindle Edition of this book would be a gross understatement. I feel I deserve a free copy of the actual e-book edition from the publisher and/or Amazon.com so that I may access the features for which I have already paid in full. To be fair, the in-book links (such as the Table of Contents and the in-book links to book-defined definitions) work flawlessly -- so, may this is a partial-featured e-book... Still, this product is no where close to the product as advertised.

Great book for leaders at all levels
By Alisha
Required reading for a master's level class in HRD, but it's an easy read with excellent practical examples. I would recommend it for any management team or anyone in a leadership role. There's also a version with an online key code that gives podcasts, studies, and movies relayed to the text.

I like the real-life example sections
By Amazon Customer
This is one of the easiest reads I have come across in my MLIS classes, which is welcome change. I like the real-life example sections. The chapters are short and easy to make sense of.
