Two Steamy Stories

The author gives us two stories, the first about a busty girl buying a bikini, with the help from a very capable sales girl. There is some action behind the curtin in the dressing room. The second story is more interesting, about Peaches, home for college summer vacation. She is staying with her girl friend's mom, Gina. And Gina is very busty and lactating. Put the horny Peaches together with Gina, and voila! The action is hot and steamy.
The writing is good, not really great literature, but it does the trick. Very descriptive.

About the Author
Ron Adler is professor emeritus at Santa Barbara City College, where he developed programs in interpersonal communication, business and professional communication, and communication theories. He has co-authored and edited several textbooks that address communication contexts and topics including interpersonal communication, small group communication, public speaking, assertiveness, and social skills. In addition to writing and teaching, he works with professional and business people to improve their communication on the job.

Russell F. Proctor II is a professor at Northern Kentucky University, where he has taught since 1991. He primarily teaches courses in interpersonal communication, interviewing, and communication pedagogy. In 1997 he won the university's Outstanding Professor Award. He is the author of numerous articles and textbooks focusing on interpersonal communication and communication education, with a particular interest in the use of feature films as instructional resources.

WARNING: Kindle Edition Missing Significant Parts of Book Due to "Copyright Restrictions"

I got this book for a course I am taking. Unfortunately, there are several excepts and related material that are omitted from the Kindle edition due to "Copyright Restrictions". The book itself is quite good, but if you end up being quizzed on or otherwise need these sections, you may be caught with your proverbial pants down. I wonder how long before publishers realize that these hassles are often the reason why people don't trust purchasing digital material.

Amazon should NOT sell this as the "Kindle Edition" of the printed book without at least clearly advertising that the book is missing material.

INCLUDES workbook/manual - Cheaper than both the hardcover book or separate manual

This is a really great deal. Each chapter in the book has the *manual* pages so you don't need to buy each product separately. You'll save a lot by buying this book (unless you find a friend who already has the hardcover book, then you can buy a used workbook).
The only difference from the hardcover book is that the pages are in black and white instead of in color. But who cares? Be realistic, you need this for a class, and then once the semester is over you'll never look at it again. The pages are properly numbered and coincide with the hardcover, so if your instructor tells you to turn to page #100, it'll be there like the hardcover book.

Almost liked it until "Content not Available due to Copyright Restrictions"

So I decide to purchase the kindle version of this textbook so save carrying weight, and a few dollars. I was very disapointed as I bagan reading the text, because in many cases there will be a lead up to an example then suddenly in am faced with a nice bomb of a message "Content not Available due to Copyright Restrictions".

I gave this two stars, bacause other than the missing content, this is a great book.

What? I was not warned when I purchased this online that I was looking at an incomplete textbook. I have found this message several times per chapter, and yes I have had instances where I missed points in class, or couldn't fully participate in the conversation about the reading because the exaplme being discussed is not in my E-Book.

I feel it's not appropriate at all to sell the book in anything but the same form as the print book without a warning. If there are copywright restrictions preventing you from producing a full digital version, then don't do it. Don't sell it to me, and pepper the book with little messages "oops, sorry, the people that bought the paper version get the whole book, but since this is digital you don't get the same thing" It happens so much in this book, I bet if the publisher had tried they could have gotten permission to use most of the content in the E-book, but they just didn't bother. It was just easier to strip all the borrowed content from it, us readers won't know till we've already paid for it anyway.

Bottom line, if you need this for a college class, save yourself the hastle and get the paper version, you can sell it to someone later anyway, unlike an E-Book.

curious about what was ,left out"

There was nothing in the book about a vision ( or "being" ) who came to a person unless they were in some state of stress etc.
I have heard of other types of experiences,, when no problem was happening.>>BUT....
This book is GREAT at explaining experiences about trouble being givin HELP " ( and yes , we're probably NOT "ALONE" )
I just wonder about the " OTHER" ( non trouble type )
How about the OTHER type of experiences ,( with NO problem, No drugs, no illness, no alcohol, No danger ) ?
However,, It was good to learn about the many "helper" type of happenings , AND the different perspectives of , HOW ,why
and when etc. ( I think we all have had SOME of those experiences,,, I just wonder about the "other" things ,,Like an Angel who came to the Blessed Virgin Mary ( when she concieved )
OR some of the things like the Children of Fatima experienced. ..with " Angels",,, etc.. ( those things were "left out" ) ..
Life is full of "mystery" ,,,So it IS great to hear about the ones described in this book...

Outstanding!

Having previously read the Third Man Factor I had an expectation of this author and his product and was not disappointed. This is an impactful read that compels some serious questioning of the materialist/reductionist paradigm we have inherited. Thank you Mr. Geiger for another great reading experience and for sharing this very important subject.

A Present Help In The Time Of Trouble

When human beings are in the throes of dire stress and great calamity there is always a "Presence" there to help and uplift them, and to bring them soothing comfort and peace.

That is the one-sentence summary of this book, and a powerful consolation that we are never truly alone in life.

While reading on this very rare topic, I had gotten the sense that the author had expended a huge amount of effort, undertaking an arduous research collecting anecdotal evidence, and analyzing scientific journals and literature, in order to put this most difficult work together.

It is filled mostly with the true stories of people's experiences while in distress. These people give account of a great presence which manifests itself either as a calm, reassuring, but very commanding voice, or as a seemingly real living person, who suddenly appear, to impart guidance and comfort.

Most of the personal accounts in the book were published for the first time ever as people are always understandably reticent in making these kinds of pseudo-mystical experiences public.

As a result, I have treated the recounting of these experiences with reverence, whilst at the same time enjoying them immensely. Not enjoyment in a humorous or frivolous way, but in the good cheer that they brought to my heart: It feels good to know that we are never alone, no matter what.

The author spent equal objective time on the scientific redundant literature that attempted to explain how this is all just the effects of a stressed human brain. Then he showed examples of experiences which totally refuted those explanations.

Overall, this was a great and informative read with positive spiritual overtones that was very uplifting in its effect.

A remarkable Robin Hood via Ken Follett, with a gay twist.

Ken Follett's amazing "Pillars of the Earth" taught us about life in a cathedral town in the middle ages. J. Tullos Henning (another coy name for a female writer of gay male romance) gives us a remarkably deft and literate window into that same medieval world - this time focusing on the social, cultural and religious context of the English middle ages in which Robin Hood was born.

But here, Robin of Loxley is a teenage druidic forest king and Maid Marion is his big sister - and he falls in love with Gamelyn Boundys, youngest son of the local Frankish nobleman. The old, pre-Christian ways have not died out in this part of England, but the increasingly shrill and paranoid Christian hierarchy has got them in their sights. Pagan and Christian, peasant and noble, bowman and swordsman. A strange fate seems to hover over Rob and Gamelyn, although whether love or death will win is in shadow.

Henning is great with language, and the various little linguistic anachronisms that find their way into this complex, gripping text are easily shrugged off (did they have rubbish tips in the 1100s?). What's better, all of the secondary characters are ably drawn and come to life on the page, offering the reader a rich character study from a time as alien as another world.

The reason I did not give this five stars is that no book this long and this involving should end in a cliff-hanger. The highly emotional finale seemed rushed, and, in my opinion, should not have ended where it did. The events were foreshadowed, but there was no need to trick us into reading a sequel by leaving us gasping on the last page. Really, we would have bought the second book, "Shirewode," anyway.

The Robin Hood I Wish I Read as a Kid

Robin Hood has always been one of my favorite stories but I've only ever heard the sanitized Hollywood version shorn of the rich mythology and culture that must have been part of it. In the author's note at the end of the book Hennig writes that she feels most modern tellings have failed to capture Robin's ultimate love, his love for his forest. In Greenwode, the forest is a central character, Hennig's depictions of it are absolutely gorgeous (you almost wish you could lick the page). Set against this background of Robin's love affair with the forest, we get a cast of wonderful characters, no two of which sound alike (Hennig has clearly dedicated significant thought to each). For example, we meet one secondary character (not named for spoiler reasons) for only a few pages, yet it seems like we're already old companions of his good nature and uncomplicated outlook, and when he departs at the end of these pages, already Hennig has made us feel the tragedy of the loss.

When writing on Robin Hood, it is easy to offer up strawmen enemies. Yet while, one can classify the antagonists in this book as cruel, selfish, blind, it seems that the cause of their evil actions is not an abstract force called "evil" but rather their own laziness of thought, their resignment to authority and tradition, their confusion of the easy road with the only road. The book shows so eloquently, without ever stating it explicitly, that evil is what happens when ordinary people accept wrongs as reality, when they accept their own chains. And this is what's so tragic about the story's end, that there is no person to blame except the flaws of humanity itself. One can certainly try to point fingers at individuals e.g. the abbess or Johan, but ultimately it is each of our own inability's to think outside the paradigms we live in, to See possibilities, to simply live our lives and never question why things are as they are which leads to tragedy.

An absolutely beautiful retelling of the Robin Hood tale. Read it, cry, and then just sigh as you wait along with me for the release of the sequel Shirewode.

What more can be said? This work is epic, a retelling of the Robyn Hood origins, it encompasses religion, philosophy, the natural world, the social structure of Medieval Britain, the cruelty of the Church, the love between two men and so much more.

Beautifully written and endlessly engaging, this book took my breath away.

Unfortunately, Amazon is not yet showing the second of the two books in this duology. I don't know if it hasn't been released yet or if Amazon failed to secure rights, but I simply cannot wait to get my hands on it.

About the Author

Graham Sellers is the API lead on the Vulkan spec. He is AMD Software Architect and Engineering Fellow, represents AMD at the OpenGL ARB. He has actively contributed to the core Vulkan and OpenGL specs and extensions, and holds several graphics and image processing patents.

John Kessenich is the language lead on the Vulkan spec. He is Senior Compiler Architect at LunarG Inc., has been active in OpenGL, GLSL, Vulkan, and SPIR-V development in the OpenGL ARB and in Khronos since 1999. He created the SPIR-V intermediate language and is its specification editor. He is also the GLSL specification editor, and active in creating shader compiler tools and translators for increased portability of these standards. John is a coauthor of the OpenGL(R) Programming Guide.
